House of Lurgies

What a week! My bunny, Bubbles, had an enlarged left eye and I whipped her down to the vet suspecting glaucoma (her brother, Nibbles, had his eye removed earlier this year for glaucoma - which is extremely rare in rabbits incidentally - unless they're New Zealand Whites).

I've had my daughter home sick with a cold, her asthma flared up again, an ear infection developed and she has to stay in her room with the vapouriser and heater. Yup - you guessed it... 'Mum, I'm bored! What can I do?' So... out with the craft! We're making a patchwork doona cover out of 30cm squares of cotton fabric and using pastel paint sticks and 3-D paint tubes to decorate them. So far we've paid homage to Wallace & Gromit, Totoro, Pokemon, Flushed Away, Hamtaro & Harry Potter in the designs.

I now have a pair of slipper socks!! My first completed pair of socks - very proud. My second glove is coming along nicely... I'm up to the fingers... and I finished my Harry Potter book scarf on a loom made from cardboard, paperclips, glue and tape.
