Free Pattern - Cabled Wrist Warmers

Materials: 8 ply wool (2 X 50g balls), set of 4 no. 11 (3 mm) dpns, set of 5 no. 10 (3.25 mm) dpns, row counter,

2 stitch markers

Gauge: stockinette stitch, no. 10 needles

12 sts = 5 cm, 17 rows = 5 cm

Pattern:

With no. 11 (3 mm) needles, cast on 48 stitches (16 stitches per needle).

Work K2, P2 rib for 4 rows.

1) Change to no. 10 (3.25 mm) needles

Thumb (Both Hands):

With no. 10 (3.25 mm) needles, pick up thumb stitches (12 from stitch holder and 8 from top of hole). [20 sts]

Knit 4 rows.

Change to no. 11 (3 mm) needles.

Work K1, P1 rib for 4 rows.

Cast off in pattern with no. 10 needle.
